Bandhani is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Bhanda' which means 'to tie'. The art of bandhani is a highly skilled process that involves dyeing a fabric which is hand tied with a thread at certain points, producing a variety of patterns. 

The fabric is naturally dyed by Khamir Crafts, who support traditional textile artisans across Gujarat.
